Hello, I just realized that lubuntu puts the task bar at the top of screen... which is a pathetic idea... because the normal is the taskbar at the bottom since most users are used to seeing the bar at the bottom. So now I am wondering if i can move that shit ? If not... I won't try this shit. Thanks.

Hi,I just realised that you are a windows user , which itself is a shit. Common you couldn't even have two panels(taskbar) at windows , you are stuck with only one type of panel,changing it involves dirty hacks while linux is so much customisable .BTW lubuntu doesn't put that panel on the top by default , you wouldn't even watched that video to realise that the panel was at the bottom.

I'm really enjoying lubuntu so far! thank you so much for a fantastic and snappy OS. Just one thing: After installing lubuntu for some reason the lower panel simply disappeared! I found this tutorial and created a new panel at the top. However this new panel is different because it doesn't have the same 'lubuntu' logo button nor does it have the network/wireless symbol, etc. In short, can you please tell me how to reset everything back so I have the default panel? Thank you! :-)

Code:as normal user sudo not required: mv ~/.config/lxpanel/Lubuntu/panels/panel ~/ then restart your panel: Code: lxpanelctl restart That should work ..

Thank you for the great tutorial. It was exactly what I was after. I followed it and got the result I was looking for. I have a "standard" type panel at the top of the desktop and a second one like your video on the bottom. I was hoping you might know of way that allows for that second panel to be hidden under a window when it is maximised? Also is there a way to "float" it just above the bottom edge of the screen? Many thanks if you can help

I was looking at dock bar solutions, like docky and cairo etc. This has just rendered all the third party solutions null and void! Great tutorial thank you so much. Keep up the good work.
