It's all fine, but Leszek, i have another problem which i can not solve here in Lubuntu- namely, i can't watch mms live streams in any of the browsers that i use ( firefox, opera, chromium). That is, nor gecko media player plugin, nor xine plugin won't work. Whereas it all worked fine- in first place the xine plugin and firefox- in Ubuntu (10.10 and 11.04), not to mention windows xp. I do have lubuntu restricted extra, and even ubuntu restricted extra installed, and i can play windows wma files with gnome mplayer and audacity. If it would not be to much for you to show us how to get around this problem, i would be grateful.

Hi there. As I haven't found a forum, I would like to ask you how could I find a sound manager for my system, because there is nothing in the system tools and preferences panels. why? because, even the sound panel item it shows 100%, the sound is very poor. Thanks and have a great day!

Very clearly explained and very useful but.... it works fine for Audacious and Tomboy notes, but it not for the app I that I most want to start - Chromium, it works once then the file is deleted and it doesn't work anymore - very odd! NB: I had to create the autostart directory as it wasn't there.

I appreciate the help but WHY in the world would you tell people what NOT to do? Just the facts please on how to get the job done. I wrote down menu>pref>desktop sessions etc only to hear you say DON'T do it that way. Then you talk Global but NO -- don't do it that way -- go to local. JEEEZE man ! I'm listening to your EVERY word, so why talk about anything irrelevant?

Don't get me wrong -- you guys are a real gift BUT when are software writers going to start taking absolute novices into consideration when they do tutorials? It took me an hour to try and figure out why I couldn't see the config file that you noted in the autostart video. WHY? How about VIEW > SHOW HIDDEN ? ! I just installed Lubuntu for the first time yesterday so do I make my point? You're the genius -- I'm the COMPLETE BEGINNER -- so talk to me like I am one. Please !

Hi, i would like to add freepopsd in autostart, but I don't Know how do this

I have it on a USB and it runs very nicely. However, when attempting to install it to the hard drive (inside Windows) I do not get an LXDE option. It reverts to Ubuntu. I installed the Ubuntu (Gnome) environment in the hope of afterwards changing the Desktop environment to LXDE. I followed Spatry's video to do this and all appears to have installed but I was not presented with a configuration screen at the end, as appears in his video. Re-boot, it is back to Ubuntu Gnome. How on earth can I install Lununtu with LXDE desktop to disk? This has taken all afternoon so far. Help appreciated.
